Introduction

ARINT is an International Professional Engineering and Technical SHEQ Services company.

ARINT was originally formed in 2002 in Lyon, France. Since then, it has expanded worldwide with our clients and their needs, with the Head Office in Centurion (Gauteng) – South Africa.

Our projects for clients are mainly on the African, Asian, European and North-American continents. Our clients are essentially large international companies, service organisations and utilities.

We are SHEQ certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Meet Our Team

Alain Rolland

Alain Rolland

CEO

He is based in France and has 42 years of experience in industry. Originally he trained as Artisan in traditional woodcraft, particularly in restoration, staircases and laminated beams.

His career advanced towards training and he managed a training school of 400 students across 8 Departments in France.

He qualified as Master Artisan after completing his Compagnons du Devoir du Tour de France and thereafter responsible for building and restoration of historical monuments. Thereafter he studied Industrial Engineering and later completed his Executive MBA at HEC.

As Manager in the Eiffage Group, he managed numerous companies in the construction and allied industries.

In 2002, he became ARINT Project Manager for the Democritus Company of South Africa in France, managing a team of Engineers and Technicians for the Owner’s Technical Assistance for the ANDRA construction of an Underground Research Laboratory.

During 2007, he became ANDRA’s Head of Technical Services (and Deputy Site Manager) in charge of underground operations, surface equipment, maintenance and production of the installation and also a Representative of Project Cigéo at the Meuse/Haute-Marne Centre located in Bure, France.

He now serves voluntary as Provincial Rhône-Alpes Manager for Compagnons du Devoir du Tour de France Association (Training of Artisans, 8000 students) and has resumed his role with ARINT.

He speaks French, English and Spanish.

Francois Mellet

He serves as the Director of ARINT Consulting Services and has 42 years of experience in the engineering, maintenance and operation of all industry types.

Electrical Engineering Diploma, GCC and Project Management certificate, his 19 years ESKOM experience in Transmission, Koeberg Nuclear Generation as commissioning and project engineer, included a year in European nuclear industries and 5 years in Maintenance Management at Matimba Power Station.

Hereafter he joined IRCA Global for 8 years to assess, develop and train clients in engineering & maintenance, ISO certification and Risk Assessments to SWIFT, FMECA and HAZOP techniques for local and international industrial and mining clients.

From 2002, he spent 5 years on a large project for the underground research laboratory construction in France, for the eventual adjacent storage of high level long life nuclear waste.

Since 2007, Francois manages ARINT South Africa – Engineering and SHEQ Services, which serves all industry types in engineering services across the international spectrum.

Currently Francois serves as a Council Member for SAAMA as part of his passion for Physical Asset Management development.

He loves nature and travelling the world.

He serves as the Director of ARINT Global Services and has a total of 44 years of workplace experience, of which 25 years was spent in the Marine Mechanical, Construction, Engineering, Maintenance disciplines and SHEQ Management.

Starting from Apprenticeship to Production Planning, Project Planning and Management, and served as the Health and Safety Committee Chairperson for a period of time for Surface Ships.

Amongst varied education and training accomplishments, he has obtained, amongst other; BCom. Honours degree (Management), National Diploma in Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices (ETDP), National Technical Certificate (NTC6), Diploma in Project Management, Diploma in Production and Inventory Management and numerous Certificates in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.

He held the positions of Director of Education and Training, Director Research & Development, Director Business Development, Director Projects as well as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Coastal Offices (Pty) Ltd for the company IRCA (Pty) Ltd.

He is a member of Safety Professional bodies and serves voluntary on the committee of the Safety First Association, who publishes the OHSAfrica Magazine.

 His enjoys traveling and being in the outdoors, especially with ocean activities.
