HAZOP Risk Assessments Studies

The HAZOP study is a formal systematic procedure used to review the design and operation of a potentially hazardous process facility. The study is used to identify deviations from normal safe operation, which could lead to hazards, environmental or safety/health concerns and infrastructure, and/or operability /maintenance problems. The HAZOP study also includes appropriate remedial measures.

The ARINT Risk Engineering team has been around the globe from the beginning of the year conducting HAZOP studies. We have conducted HAZOP studies for several locally organisations, varying from industry to industry. The most recent was facilitated at Transalloys in eMalahleni, which was for a new Converter Installation project and a process HAZOP for Hitachi of a new Remix Water Treatment Plant at eThekwini Municipality in Durban.
